February Plein Air Paintouts
We had a successful two days of plein air painting last week. Some of us met at the RSF Senior Center on Thursday before the rain. Others of us went on Friday and split up between the Senior Center and the courtyard of the RSF Historical Society. In total we were 9 artists!!
Yay!!
Lisa and I are hoping to continue the painting of Lilian Rice buildings this coming week, on Thursday the 26th again. In fact, we may have meet-ups every Thursday up to the date of the Historical Society event, April 11. (See the end of the email for the next meet-up date, time and location)
We would like to capture the corner real estate building, the exterior of the Historical Society, the Inn and the row houses on Paseo Delicias. In addition, the Historical Society has asked us to create images (either sketch, watercolor, oil or acrylic) of each of the row houses for use in printing their tour brochure. Those would have to be submitted for their approval by mid March. If you are interested in submitting a picture of the exterior of one or all of the four row houses, please let Lisa or me know asap.
The day of the Row House Tour event, we will display our paintings. The Society would like one artist at each house, on April 11, doing a painting on site. If you would like to be one of those artists please also get back to Lisa ([email protected]) or me (Joan Hession [email protected])
