Enjoy a painting retreat among the magical vistas and red rocks of Sedona! Choose your medium (oil or watercolors) to creatingyour own personal masterpieces.Make new friends over a glass of wine, enjoy local cuisine and gain inspiration viewing paintings of local artists during curated gallery visits. -All levels of painters are welcome!-
Leading expert on Southwest inspired art and local resident, Betty Carr will be selecting the most picturesque locations and providing instruction and advice appropriate to each painters level of expertise during the retreat.
Betty Carr is a signature member of the Arizona Plein Air Painters Association and was recently selected as a master painter in the American Impressionist Society.

Monday April 24th
4:00 -6:30 PM -Arrival and check in at Arabella Hotel
7:00-9:00 PM –Meet and greet cocktail gathering.
Tuesday April 25th
7:00 – 9:00 AM –Breakfast
9:00 AM –Depart for Plein Air painting site
10:00-Noon –Group painting
Noon -1:00 Lunch
1:00 – 4:00 –Group painting
4:00 -6:30 –Explore Sedona on your own
6:30 Welcome dinner at Arabella
Wednesday April 26th
7:00 – 8:00 AM –Breakfast
8:00 am Depart for Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village
Tlaquepaque is a unique setting on the banks of the Oak Creek fashioned after
a traditional Mexican Village. Its vine covered stucco walls, cobble stoned walkways and magnificent arches will provide an inspiring backdrop to create your next masterpiece.
8:30-11:30am Group painting in the village
11:30 –Lunch in the Village
12:30-2:30 –Curated tour of the galleries of the Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village, led by Betty Carr.
2:30 –Return to hotel, time on your own
Relax by the pool, hike the resort’s private trail or go for a bike ride!
5:30 – Sunset painting with wine and appetizers
Join the group for an informal sunset painting time (a great opportunity to practice with water colors) or simply enjoy some wine and appetizers with some good conversation.
7:30 Enjoy live entertainment in the Arabella courtyard
Thursday April 27th
7:00 – 8:00 AM –Breakfast
8:00 AM –Depart for Plein Air painting site
8:30-11:30 –Group painting
11:30 –Return to Arrabella, check out and departure.
Pricing
* $2,700 per painter.
* Supplemental charge of $300 for non-painting guests/ spouses attending with a painter & sharing a room. Supplemental charge covers shared hotel room, group meals and gatherings.
* $500 deposit required by March 3rd to secure your spot.
